Speak for Yourself is a professionally designed application created by two speech-language pathologists who specialize in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). It is based on evidence-based practices and follows motor learning principles. The application features a word-based vocabulary that focuses on the most commonly used words in communication. It also incorporates important features for developing automaticity and language skills.

This application teaches individuals to use their communication device using the same principles they would use to learn to play an instrument or type on a keyboard. With nearly 11,000 Smarty Symbols® included, users have access to almost 14,000 words with just two touches to say a word. Speaking has never been easier or faster!

Complex page navigation and scanning are eliminated in this application, ensuring quick and consistent access to language. Additionally, Speak for Yourself is powered by CereProc's speech system, which adds character, emotion, and personality to the voices used.

In version 2.3, there is an exciting new feature that allows users to choose voice options from Acapela Text-To-Speech by Acapela Group through in-app purchasing.
